Double Award Drama & Performing Arts
Pupils will focus on developing skills learnt in Year 11, with specific focus on a particular skill area including:

design [set, costume, make up, props, puppets, masks]

technical [sound, lighting]

performance [acting, singing, dancing, mime, music performance, music technology, DJ’ing]

management [stage management, directing, front of house, marketing and publicity]
Pupils will receive a commission from AQA in December of Year 12 and research, plan and produce a performance to meet the demands of the commission. This performance will be moderated in April or May of Year 12. This performance and the portfolio of evidence will be added to the work completed in Year 11 to achieve the Double Award.
