This GCSE subject attracts young people because of the relevance it has to their daily lives and because of the large percentage of coursework that they have control over. Students follow units of work on Newspapers, Soap Operas, Pop Music, Gameshows and advertising. In addition to coursework pieces relating to these, in Year 12 they produce a major project. In the past this has included a short video, magazines, newspapers and radio shows
