Why Study R.E.
There are many reasons why we should study Religious Education.

It helps children to understand religion and therefore to stop misunderstanding and prejudice.

It gives children the opportunity to explore existential questions and find answers which give meaning to their lives.

Without R.E our education is lacking - it is a form of knowledge itself.

It gives us the chance to learn about MORALS

Without it children would get brainwashed into humanistic values

It helps us to understand the CULTURE in which we are living. Without an understanding of Christianity children cannot fully understand our HISTORY, LEGAL SYSTEM, INSTITUTIONS, COSTUMES, LITERATURE, ART ARCHITECTURE and so on.
