Aims and objectives

In Newtownabbey Community High we are dedicated to providing a high quality education for young people of all abilities and to promoting personal excellence in each individual.

Mission Statement

"Newtownabbey Community High is a caring, well-ordered school committed to high standards and positive relationships within an actively involved community, offering opportunities for success to each child, while promoting excellence for all"

We aim:

  • To develop children to become successful in their personal, moral, social, academic, cultral and working lives.

  • To ensure the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum which meets the N.I. guidelines and extends each pupil by its relevance to his/her individual needs.

  • To promote links with the community that will enable the school to meet the needs of the local area, and to use community resources to enhances the educational experience of our children.

  • To promote a supportive learning environment based on good relationships among pupils, teachers and parents.

  • To generate in the community a justifiable confidence in, and appreciation of, this school's standards and achievements.
