Junior Curriculum
In line with the Northern Ireland Education Order, Newtownabbey Community High offers each child a broad and balanced curriculum that aims to improve basic skills, extend abilities, and introduce new subjects and techniques. All pupils at Key Stage 3 will study the following:

- English
- Science
- Technology
- Home Economics
- Geography
- History
- Art and Design
- Music
- Physical Education
- French
- Religious Education
In addition, the cross curricular themes - Economic Awareness, Careers, Health Education, Cultural Heritage, Education for Mutual Understanding and Information Communication Technology are an integral part of the education of all pupils.
There is also a taught programme of Personal and Social Education delivered by Form Tutors and Year Heads.
